Besides going to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, of course, there is so much to see and do in Punta Cana! You may be thinking that Punta Cana is only good for a day at the beach. Or you may be asking yourself, what can I do in Punta Cana? Our little piece of paradise has many activities to offer. Check out this list for a couple good ideas.

Go surfing

If you think our wonderful beaches are just for swimming or lounging around, you’d be pleasantly surprised to learn about surfing lessons. For those who see the beach as an opportunity to try out new things, or if you just like sports and want to try something new, this is your chance! Equipped with friendly instructors and some of the most stunning views, Punta Cana’s waves are yours to take. Head to Macao Beach or Uvero Alto for the best waves around. Have fun!

Scuba diving on the coral reef

If you like to learn more about the ecosystem, why don’t you give the coral reef a try? It’s not packed with action like surfing, but it’s one of the most beautiful scenes you’ll ever see. And the colors, the shapes, the beauty of nature – all of that is waiting for you to see. Pictures don’t do it justice! If you love exotic sights and exploring underwater, this could interest you.

Exploring caves

And there’s always someone who likes the unknown. Punta Cana isn’t just beaches and resorts; it has all sorts of natural formations! There is a night club built into a cave, but that’s another story. No, this is about the exploration of actual caves! You will never go on one of these excursions without a guide, so don’t worry, you’ll be safe. Just delve into the deep and uncover that which many will never see!

Visit Hoyo Azul

The sea isn’t the only kind of water you can swim on. If the salty scent of the beach has got you tired, go a little into the island and take a dip in the bluest water ever! “Hoyo Azul” translates to “blue hole”, and it’s a fitting name. Hoyo Azul is a really deep blue pond hidden from view. It’s one of the most beautiful natural sights you’ll see! And then you might see a few pictures and think there’s some manipulation going on, but it really looks like that! Come and see for yourself. And don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe to swim in!

Visit Altos de Chavon

Variety is Punta Cana’s greatest strength. First, you see all the beauties of nature, and then you’ll enjoy all the activities we have for you. But what about a Mediterranean villa? It’s the unlikeliest spot to find one, but we have it! Altos de Chavon will charm you with its quaint and majestic architecture. The streets are almost straight out of a painting! With its chapel and amphitheater, you’re looking at an entire day of villa tourism ahead!

Have a photoshoot

And you can’t go home without having a photo session! After everything I’ve described here, don’t you want to show your friends? Take home a piece of Punta Cana with you by immortalizing the moment. Selfies just don’t quite cut it! A photoshoot gives you the opportunity to truly shine. Let the photographer handle all the work, you’ll look stunning with little to no effort. Be it with family or your fiancé, don’t be shy and get a few pictures!

And that’s just off the top of my head! Punta Cana isn’t a city or a beach, it’s an entire region. There are so many places to go, discover, and explore! I haven’t even mentioned the chocolate museum or the many night clubs. In addition to all the great restaurants around! The truth is that you have to go for yourself. You don’t know all the things you’re missing! Above all, of course, have fun!
